In a nutshell, Pandacan1011 is an online community blog which aims to connect residents using technology. This blog was launched on June 01, 2008.
Author
I go by the name “Kiko”, in honor of Francisco Balagtas – the famous writer/author who lived in Beata, Pandacan.
What’s With 1011?
If you don’t know it yet, 1011 is the zipcode of Pandacan. Don’t ever forget it when you are mailing a letter.
Scope and Limitation
The articles here will be everything about Pandacan: news, people, events, local businesses, politics, everything! We can even rant about our water condition, flooding, neighbors… as long as it related to our district, it is fine. However, we can also discuss something beyond Pandacan, and we’ll categorize the topics as “NOT Pandacan”.
English or Tagalog?
I post in English, to conform with the blogging standards. But Tagalog is totally allowed. So don’t be shy if you want to speak up! Just don’t use too much profanities.
Want to Contribute?
If you feel you can share something useful for everyone, and you have a killer writing style, simply register and let me know your username so I can make you a contributor. Or, if you don’t like to register, email me your article and let’s see if it makes the frontpage.
Who can view this site?
Anyone with internet connection can access this site, as long as they know they spell the site name correctly. The site is visible in the entire cyberspace.
